This Saturday, 19 August 2023, from 10:00am to 4:30pm EST, I will be presenting at the very first annual Pagan Pride Day festival for the Wilkes-Barre, PA area! I am honored to support the Wyoming Valley CUUPS organization, and extremely excited to teach about City Magic!

Historically, “pagan” generally referred to people practicing the rural folk customs & rituals of agricultural traditions. In the 21st century, most neopagans do not live in either rural or agricultural environments– we live in cities. Most books, lectures, and training programs focus on nature religion as occurring “out there” in environments with limited human contact, and ignores the evolution of Spirits that coexist with humanity in the same urban environments in which we live. Join Rev Monika Kojote in a workshop about the magic of Cities, the evolution of Spirits, and ideas on how to begin relationships with these energies.
I’ve taught this workshop at Central New Jersey Pagan Pride, NYC Pagan Pride, DC Pagan Pride, and other heavily-populated urban environments. A born & raised New Yorker (Flushing gal forever), I created this workshop as a response to the inherent racist, classist, and anti-immigrant undertones to many pagan teachings.
Join me and other attendees to support the inaugural celebration of pagan religions in northeastern Pennsylvania!
